ABOUT
As the struggles in life continue to grow, many people find that they have run out of coping mechanisms that can help them to get through. It may only take one small act to send a person over the edge where they may contemplate or even commit suicide. Regardless of the reason behind the person turning their thoughts toward suicide, it is important that this sinful option is irreversible and not the right solution
for their problems. Over the years, suicide has become the major problem in the world being one of the three leading causes of death. In fact, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 800,000 people a year take their own lives. That amounts to 1 death every 40 seconds and that number doesn’t incorporate
those who have failed in their attempts or those that may have think about it but never acted upon it. Suicide is an unfortunate occurrence that happens among all age groups. In the Philippines, at least six individuals commit suicide everyday and most of these cases were teenagers who are prone to suffer stress and depression brought by family problems, school pressure and failed relationships. However, even though suicide is a fairly common occurrence and has been happening for many years, people are still reluctant to talk about or deal with it.
